Yoga for the sake of appreciation, transformation and propagation is what Prathima believes in. She completed her MSc in Yoga from S-VYASA University Bengaluru and excelled in the International Teachers Training Course in Hatha yoga also called Haṭhavidyā – a branch of Yoga. The word haṭha denotes a system of physical techniques supplementary to a broad conception of yoga. She conducts classes for beginners, intermediate and power yoga derived from Ashtanga yoga. Apart from these, the Yoga training she imparts will cover core Hatha, Asthanga (primary series), Pranayama and internalization in Yoga Nidra.
Prathima is a graduate in commerce from St. Joseph’s Evening College and brings with her a rich Corporate experience as well – having worked with Alliance Business Academy, KPMG and Manipal Group of Hospitals prior to taking up Yoga as her career. A true woman of substance, Prathima is also a home maker, an innovative chef, a lover of nature and plants… with a strong inner spiritual belief.
Yoga has transformed her inner-self and helped her combat ailments such as back ache, gastric problems and even healing from an orthopedic surgery for ACL tear.
In a world that’s increasingly cynical, unfailingly practical and obsessed with material things, yoga is one thing that helps us connect with our inner-self and disciplines us. Yoga is eternal and there is no age to practice Yoga.
